The day started with coffee and biscuits and a display of new pots including those to be auctioned at Bonhams and recent commisions (including our own Holden Wood Autumn vase). A number of decorators were there demonstrating their work.

Richard Dennis
Richard Dennis gave a talk on the chinaworks. Here he is showing the Iris flute number 333, which has been one of the most popular designs and this year is being produced in the new orange colourway.

Tulip Tree Inspiration
Richard shows off the inspiration for the new Tulip tree pot from the plant in flower (after 15 years) in their own garden.

Miniatures
Richard talking about the facination people have with miniatures and that the Chinaworks always do an exact replica of the original vase in miniature.

Future
Richard stated the pottery was best described as an Art Pottery and that there was no intention to increase the size of the works and that the small scale gave them the ability to try new ideas and remain flexible.

Richard introduces Lorne Spicer a television presenter, who proceeds to give a lively talk and hints at the interest that the V&A museum has in Sally's designs.

Charity Auction
After the talk there was a charity auction of some special pieces to raise money for a 24hr blood pressure monitor. £2300 was raised.
